We are a warm, welcoming, and family-oriented British-Indian family of four with two young daughters aged 6 and 4. We live in a spacious family home in Peterborough, close to the town centre and train station, with excellent transport links to London, the Midlands, and Scotland. Our home is busy, positive, and full of energy. We enjoy spending quality time together as a family, whether that’s going outdoors, travelling, enjoying family meals, or doing fun activities with the girls. We value kindness, respect, honesty, and creating a happy environment for everyone in the home. The children’s grandparents also live within the house in their own independent space, which creates a supportive and close family atmosphere while still maintaining privacy for everyone. As both parents work full-time, we are looking for someone who can become a trusted and valued part of our family life. We would love to welcome an au pair who is caring, responsible, organised, and genuinely enjoys spending time with children. Someone who is patient, positive, proactive, and enjoys engaging children through activities, learning, creativity, and play would be a great fit for our family. Support is mainly needed during weekday mornings from approximately 6:30am–8:30am, including helping the girls get ready for school and completing school drop-offs, and again in the evenings from approximately 3:00pm–7:00pm. The role would include: Helping with school drop-offs and pick-ups Preparing simple breakfasts and dinners for the children Assisting with homework and evening routines Children’s laundry and keeping their areas tidy and organised Occasionally helping with bedtime if parents are delayed at work Driving is required for this role. Our daughters are vegetarian, so we would appreciate someone who is comfortable preparing vegetarian meals for them. However, this does not restrict others within the household. We mainly speak English at home and would love to welcome someone who is open to cultural exchange and becoming part of a respectful and friendly family environment. In return, we offer a comfortable private bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, a welcoming and supportive home, and the opportunity to experience life within a British-Indian family while exploring the UK and its culture.
The au pair’s main role will be to support our family with childcare and helping maintain the children’s daily routines during weekdays. Responsibilities will include helping the children get ready for school in the mornings, school drop-offs and pick-ups, preparing simple meals for the children, assisting with homework, children’s laundry, and helping keep their areas tidy and organised. Occasional support with evening and bedtime routines may also be needed when parents are delayed with work. We are looking for someone who enjoys spending time with children, engaging them in activities and play, while providing a caring, positive, and structured environment.
