Persönliche Einführung

Dear Host Family, My name is Valentina and I am from North Sumatra, Indonesia. I graduated from university last year with a Bachelor’s Degree (Diploma IV) in Tourism Destination Management. Currently, I work at a five-star hotel. I started as a Guest Relations Officer for two months, and now I am working in the Food & Beverage Service department at the same hotel. I have a big dream of living and working abroad. I have never traveled abroad before, and I believe the Au Pair program is one of the best ways to begin this exciting journey. I am eager to learn about a new culture, improve my English, experience a different way of life and become part of a host family while sharing experiences and create wonderful memories together. You should host me because I have always loved being around children. I am the youngest in my family, with one older sister and one older brother, and although I did not grow up surrounded by many children, I enjoy spending time with them. Children are innocent and full of joy, and I love making them smile and laugh because their happiness makes me feel comfortable too. I don’t have much experience working with children. However, during my college years, I had a project called Field Project Study (FPS) in a community service program in a small tourism village. One of our activities was teaching basic English to elementary school students and doing playful, learning-based activities with kindergarten children. And since I worked at a five-star hotel, I always give the best service to all guests. Whenever I meet children, the first thing I do is greet them in a fun and friendly way. I believe that when children are happy and smiling, their parents usually feel happy as well. I am very excited about the opportunity to become part of your family, to learn from you, and to share my culture with you. I look forward to this meaningful journey together.
