About me:
I would describe myself as a responsible, patient and cheerful person. I love being around children because they make me happy and give me a lot of energy.
In my free time I like to cook, do sports, and do creative activities like drawing and singing with kids.
I am also very respectful and family-oriented. For me it is important to be a helpful member of the family and to support the parents.
I am excited to learn about German culture and to share my Indonesian culture with your family.
About my family:
I come from a big, warm and hardworking family in Indonesia. I am the youngest of six children. I have four older brothers and one older sister.
My father works as a truck driver. He taught me to be independent, responsible and to work hard.
My mother passed away when I was a baby, so I learned from a young age to help at home and take care of each other.
Even though we went through difficult times, our family is very close and we support each other.
These experiences made me a mature, caring and helpful person. I am used to living with many people and I would be so happy to become part of a new family and take care of children with love.
About my education:
I graduated from Senior High School majoring in Natural Sciences.
Right now I am studying Indonesian Language and Literature Education at university. My dream is to become a teacher in the future.
I love teaching and explaining things to others. That’s why I enjoy working with children so much.
I believe this Au Pair experience will help me to learn more about education, German culture and language, and to become a better teacher.
About my experience and hobbies:
I have a lot of experience taking care of children. I often take care of my younger cousins. I go on trips with them to waterfalls and swimming pools, and I teach them how to swim and play safely.
I also help my aunt when she visits my grandmother. The trip is quite long, so I help her take care of her small children during the journey.
My hobbies are singing and cooking. I love to cook for my family during holidays like Christmas and New Year. I also often help my aunt prepare food for church events and celebrations.
Because I love singing, I joined the Indonesian Idol audition two times. Even though I didn’t pass, I still practice a lot.
I am also very interested in learning classical songs and German songs.
About my experience with children:
I have important experience taking care of babies. When my aunt gave birth to twins in the hospital, I took full responsibility to take care of her two other children at home for three days before we picked my aunt up from the hospital.
During those days I fed them, bathed them, played with them so they would not get bored, and comforted them when they were sad and missed their parents.
After my aunt was allowed to go home, we picked her up from the hospital together.
This experience taught me how to be responsible, patient and loving with children, even in difficult situations.
About my language skills:
I speak Batak and Indonesian fluently, and I also speak a little bit of Malay.
I learned English at school and I can speak at an intermediate level.
I have been taking German language courses for 9 months and I can speak a little German.
I am very motivated to improve my German during my Au Pair year.
I am also interested in learning French and Mandarin in the future.
Why I want to become an Au Pair:
My biggest motivation is to learn about German culture - the way of life, the mindset of German people, and how people live in a developed country.
I also want to step out of my comfort zone. I want to be active, socialize with people from other countries, and train my mental to be more disciplined, responsible and brave to take new challenges.
I believe that living with a host family in Germany will help me grow as a person and prepare me to become a better teacher in the future.
I am excited to share my Indonesian culture with your family too, and to become a part of your daily life.
Important things about me:
Sometimes I can be a little shy at first, but I am working hard to become more confident. I am a sensitive and caring person. I have a big heart and I feel compassion easily for others, especially children.
Honesty is very important to me. I am always honest and I believe trust is the foundation of a good family.
I am a feminine person and I love a warm and friendly family atmosphere.
That is why I am looking for a host family where I can feel at home and grow together.
