Introduction personnelle

Although I have never worked as an official au pair, caring for children has always been part of my life. Being the older sister and older cousin meant I naturally stepped in whenever my parents or relatives were busy. I helped with homework, prepared simple meals, got the children ready for school, and spent time playing with them or keeping them busy during the day. I have also done some tutoring, which taught me to be patient and explain things in different ways until a child understands. One thing I have learnt is that every child is different. Some need encouragement, some need space, and sometimes they just need someone to listen. I am comfortable handling disagreements between children and staying calm during tantrums because I try to understand what the child is feeling before reacting. I would like to become an au pair abroad because it is a chance to experience another culture in a meaningful way. I want to improve my German, become more independent, and build genuine relationships while doing something I enjoy. I think there is no better way to learn than by becoming part of a family's everyday life.
