Introduction personnelle
Hello future host family!
My name is Elisa, I’m 27 years old and I’m from Italy. I’m a psychologist with a background in developmental psychology, and I have always been particularly interested in children, their development and emotional well-being.
I studied at Sapienza University of Rome, where I obtained a Master’s Degree in Typical and Atypical Developmental Psychology in 2024. After my studies, I had the opportunity to gain practical experience in different settings. I completed my psychology internship at Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital in Rome, in the Child and Adolescent Neuropsychiatry Department. I later continued my experience there as a volunteer, where I had the opportunity to observe psychological interventions and provide emotional support to children, adolescents and their families.
I also wanted to explore the educational side of my profession, so I worked as a support teacher in primary schools. This experience taught me a lot about how every child is unique and how important it is to adapt to their individual needs, personality and way of learning. I have also completed specific training to become a tutor for children and teenagers with DSA and ADHD.
I’m now looking for an au pair experience because I feel that I’m at a point in my life where I would really like to step outside my comfort zone, experience living in another country and take on a new personal challenge. I would love to discover a different culture, meet new people and experience everyday life in a new environment. I also see this as a wonderful opportunity to improve my English in a natural and meaningful way. But beyond the language, I think this experience could help me become more independent, discover new aspects of myself and see the world from a different perspective.
In my free time, I really enjoy spending time in nature and going for walks, doing sports and meditating. I also love animals and I’m always happy to spend time with them. I’m a sensitive and empathetic person, and I genuinely enjoy talking to people, getting to know them and sharing experiences. I also love playing and having fun! I think play is such an important part of children’s lives, and I really enjoy being creative, getting involved and sharing their enthusiasm.
At the same time, I would love to combine this personal experience with something I genuinely enjoy: spending time with children and being part of their everyday lives. I believe that my background and experience could allow me to be a caring, responsible and understanding au pair, while also being open to learning from the family and becoming part of their daily life.
I hope to meet you soon! ☺️
