Introduzione personale

Hi, my name is Luisa, I’m 20 years old and from Germany. I graduated with a specialized high school diploma in health and care, which qualifies me for university studies at a university of applied sciences. I am a calm, responsible, and open-minded person who enjoys working with children and getting to know other cultures. Becoming an Au Pair is a great opportunity for me to combine these interests. I’d love to improve my language skills, experience everyday life in a different country, and grow personally while supporting a host family. I am currently working as an au pair in Egypt, where I take care of a 7-year-old girl and a 3-year-old boy. My main tasks include playing and learning with the children in German, as they attend a German school and kindergarten, even though their mother tongue is Arabic. With the older child, I help with homework and reading, supporting her pronunciation and understanding of what she reads. With the younger child, I focus on learning through play: we explore animal toys to learn their names and habitats, do puzzles to develop logical thinking, and practice cutting and shaping activities while learning new German words. We also spend time on the playground, learning names of objects and actions, and occasionally build pillow forts just for fun. One to two times a week, we go to a sports club with a large outdoor area, where I play with both children during breaks. In the evenings, I read to them, which expands their German vocabulary and creates a calm bedtime routine. Previously, I completed a voluntary social year (FSJ) at two primary schools in 2022/2023, working with children aged 6 to 10. I supported them during class, helped out during breaks, played with them, assisted at lunch, joined afternoon clubs, helped in after-school care, and supported small conflict resolutions. Even though I don’t have younger siblings, I spent a lot of time with the three boys next door when I was younger, a baby, a toddler, and a child helping to play with them and giving their mother some support. Additionally, I spent five weeks at a school in Uganda, gaining valuable intercultural experience. These experiences have shown me the importance of staying calm, taking responsibility, and being there for children when they need support. I enjoy helping with everyday tasks and would love to get to know your family and be part of your daily life. Working with children has always been a joy for me. Going abroad, discovering new cultures and languages, and growing personally while supporting a family is something I’m very passionate about. I am excited about the possibility of joining your family as an Au Pair at the end of 2026 or beginning of 2027. I have a B2 level of english.
