Dear Future Host Family, My name is Jasmin, I am from Germany, and I would love the opportunity to become part of your family as an au pair. One of the main reasons I would like to become an au pair is because I genuinely enjoy spending time with children and being part of their everyday lives. During high school, I completed an internship at a kindergarten, which gave me valuable first-hand experience caring for young children and confirmed how much I enjoy supporting and engaging with them. A very special part of my life is my best friend's son, who is now ten years old and has become like a little brother to me. Although we live in different cities—he lives in Hamburg and I live in Munich—we make sure to see each other several times a year. Since he was five years old, we have also gone on a holiday together once every year, creating many wonderful memories. Last year, he even stayed with me in Munich for four days without his parents. We had an amazing time exploring the city, playing together, visiting attractions, and simply enjoying each other's company. Experiences like these have shown me how much I enjoy spending time with children and being someone they can trust, laugh with, and feel comfortable around. I am a responsible, reliable, patient, and caring person. Through my professional career, I have learned to be organised, adaptable, and calm in different situations—qualities that I believe are equally important when caring for children. My English is already at a professional level thanks to my international work experience, so my motivation for becoming an au pair is not to improve my language skills. Instead, I would love to experience Australian family life, become part of a welcoming family, support you in your daily routine, and create meaningful memories together.
