Personal introduction

Hello Future Host Family! My name is Damilya, I’m 26 years old and I come from Indonesia. I would describe myself as a warm, responsible, and easy-going person who enjoys connecting with people and learning from different cultures. The idea of becoming part of a family abroad and sharing everyday life together truly excites me. I have a background in Customer Service, where I worked closely with people from different personalities and situations. This experience taught me how to stay patient, communicate clearly, and handle challenges calmly and politely. It also shaped me into someone who is attentive to others’ needs and able to create a positive and respectful interaction in any situation. Alongside that, I have experience working with children through teaching Quran reading to kids between 4 and 15 years old. From this, I learned how important it is to be patient, encouraging, and flexible depending on each child’s character. I really enjoy helping children feel comfortable, guiding them step by step, and seeing their confidence grow over time. People around me often describe me as caring, dependable, and someone who brings a calm and positive energy. I value kindness, honesty, and creating a peaceful environment where people feel safe and understood. In my free time, I like exploring creative activities, learning new skills, and spending quality time with family and friends. I also enjoy discovering new perspectives and challenging myself to grow in different ways. I am becoming an Au Pair because I see it as a meaningful exchange—where I can support your family, care for your children, and at the same time learn about your culture and way of life. I would be very happy to become someone your children can trust, laugh with, and feel comfortable around, like an older sister in the home.
