Personal introduction

I am Andrea S. Berbisada, 24 years old, and I am from Cebu City, Philippines. I am currently an undergraduate at the University of Southern Philippines Foundation, studying Bachelor of Art Major in English Language. I would describe myself as a very understanding, reliable, and energetic human who loves learing, connecting, and working with children. I am honestly excited about the opportunity to become a meaningful part of your household as an Au Pair and Live In Tutor. I want to take this role because it perfectly combines my passion for childcare with my love for education. Being an Au Pair and Live In Tutor allows me to fully immerse myself in a new culture and language while giving back to a family in a truly impactful way. I dont just want to actively contribute to their growth, help them succeed academically, and build a supportive, fun environtment where they feel confident learning new things. While I am new to being an official Au Pair & Live-in Tutor abroad, I have 13 years of deep, practical chilcare experience. For over a decade, I have been blessed to work closely with a family that supported me through my education. During this time, I helped care for a 1 year old toddler, keep up with the energy of a young child, and provide academic support and guidance to a 13 year old. Because of the generous family that sent me to school, I also understand the immense value of education and mentorship. I am highly skilled at managing dailey routines, assisting with homework, creating educational activities, and keeping a household organized, patient, and warm. If I were to describe myself in a few words, I am creative, disciplined, and appreciative of the beauty in the world. , My biggest passion is running my own online bead shop called Lock & Beads. It is a creative outlet where I bring unique ornaments, beads, and gems to life. I have been beading since I was a little girl, and running this small business has truly honed my skills in creativity, patience, and interacting warmly with people every single day. I have deep appreciation for colors and aesthetics, which I love incorporating into fun arts and crafts activities. Also, to keep my mind relaxed and balanced, I enjoy an active lifestyle. I practice pilates to release stress and tension, and I make it a point to run and walk about 10,000 steps a day. In my quieter moments, I love reading inspiring books such as Ikigai, or winding down with cozy TV series like Gilmore Girls. After completing my time as an Au Pair & Live-in Tutor, I plan to continue growing my online business, Lock & Beads, using the global inspiration, new languages, and cultural perspectives I gain during my time abroad and to hopefully finally live in a farm after this journey. The independence, organization, and cross-cultural communication skills I develop while living and working with your family will be invaluable for my future. Ultimately, my goal is to continue blending my love for creativity and entrepreneurship while finding my own 'Ikigai'—my purpose—by making a positive impact on the people around me.
