Personal introduction
My name is Berlyn Joy, and I am a caring, responsible, patient, and hardworking person with a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education and a teaching license. I have been working as a teacher in Thailand for more than three years, which has given me valuable experience working with children and understanding their different personalities, needs, and learning styles. I want to become an au pair because I would love the opportunity to experience a new culture, become part of a family, and build meaningful relationships with children outside of a classroom setting. I believe being an au pair would allow me to share my culture and experiences while also learning from my host family and their way of life.
I believe a host family should choose me because I am dependable, respectful, adaptable, and genuinely enjoy being around children. My experience as a teacher has taught me to be patient, organized, responsible, and creative when working with children. I can help with their daily routines, schoolwork, reading, educational activities, games, and other age-appropriate activities while making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and supported. I also understand that being an au pair is not only about caring for children but also about being a respectful member of the household, communicating openly, and helping create a positive family environment.
I believe I qualify for this position because my education and professional experience have prepared me well for working with children. I am used to taking responsibility, managing different situations, and adapting to the needs of the children I work with. More than anything, I would bring genuine care, patience, and commitment to my host family. I hope to find a family where we can respect and support each other, share our cultures, and create wonderful memories together. I am excited about the possibility of becoming not just an au pair, but a trusted and caring member of my host family.
